Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) shortens travel time between Taipei & Kaohsiung to as little as 80 minutes on its non-stop route. This as compared to 50 minutes by air; 4 hours and 45 minutes by regular train and 6 hours by car, is very fast indeed. THSR set a record to be the biggest and most expensive BOT project in the World, the route of the rai runs through the populated west coast of Taiwan Island and links the City of Taipei as its northern end and City of Kaohsiung at its southern end. The geological condistions along the route vary tremendously, from rock mountains in the north to thick sedimentary deposits in the south, and with Taiwan being in an earthquake prone region, it required extremely high level of construction engineering skill.

Tung Feng was proud to contract the pilling work for THSR projects C210, C215, C270, C280 and Chiayi HSR station. With the train constantly traveling at 300 km/h, foundation stability was required to be the highest possible level. By R.C.D and all casing method (up to 3.0m diameter capability by Tung Feng), we finished total of 4,239 piles with depth up to 80m and pile diameter up to 2.0m.
